Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. OVR Install Question - BI Publisher & Database RCU

Hello MOSC,

We want to setup OVR in our JDE 9.1.2/TR 9.1.4.2 configuration.

Reading through this document, one of the prerequisites for BI Publisher is Installing and configuring a supported database

I did not find any information about certain topics about database and licensing, so, my questions are:

Can we do a fresh install of another Oracle Database?
- Could it be installed in the same server where the BI Publisher is going to be?
What edition of the Oracle Database should we install?
Do we need another specific license for the installation of said Oracle database? Note that this database will be only use for BI Publisher/RCU.
