How to disable Audit Trail?

Hi all,

I enabled Audit Trail in AP for Supplier Audit; but it increasing the table space. Not sure it's happening for this or for any other reason. Irrespective for this; need complete detail to disable this newly created audit trail. What I have done is as under; kindly guide if any step(s) is missed or not done accordingly.
