JD Edwards gross and basic salary missing fields

Please i would like to know if i could insert the gross and basic salary in the Employee master file by JD Edwards applications as i was worked earlier in JD Edwards 8.11 & 8.12 versions and it was existed to inter the gross and basic salary so by anyhow the way to insert the gross and basic, do i inserted it by Regular type (code 1) in pay types (PDBA) ?? please advise.
