Logical standby Version

Hello Gurus,

Can i have different oracle software/DB versions in a dataguard configuration with logical standby and if so,for how long can i run in this mixed version mode.

Intent is to cut down the upgrade time upfront.

Here is what i'm trying to do ..

1)Primary RAC -11.2.0.3  RHEL 6 Currently no standby.

2) create a physical standby  11g and convert to logical and then upgrade it to 12c Non-cdb and have the logical standby applying the changes(sql statements) for few days.

3)on the day of cut over activate the logical standby as primary.

4) plug the new 12.2 primary non-cdb into cdb (running non_cdb_pdb.sql).
