RDF Approved Forecast Maintenance

Good day!

In RDF, besides on alerts, what is the other use of or how RDF use the historical data of approved causal forecast (e.g. appf06xb @day/item/store level)? We had a performance issue on the generate particularly in forecast approval expression (merging recent generated causal forecast into appf06xb) and our workaround is to keep just 2 months of historical data of it (i.e. we backup and cleared the data beyond 2-month old). We have a huge performance improvement since we did that.

Appreciate your help on this.
