How to record beam in Manufacturing

There are number of beams available in production floor; these beams are used for weaving process to produce fabric.
Every time there is different type of yarn rolled on it and once fabric is produce the yarn rolled on the beam is consumed.
After consumption of yarn beam the beam is become empty and ready to roll with new type of yarn on it.

How to handle this beam in manufacturing or inventory. Beam stock, consumption, creation etc.
