Golden gate best practices

We need to sync  EBS tables (R12.2.4)  for ODS via  Oracle golden gate hence can you please provide  the best practice also how to  improve and monitor  oracle golden gate extract  and replication  performance  .

what is the limitation of tables which  can be replicated via golden gate ?

Database version :11.2.0.4

currently we are in process for upgrading EBS database 11.2.0.4  to 12.1.0.2
