AMM and sga_max_size set

Hi

We have a database(11.2.0.4) which is using the automatic memory management.  Memory_max_target is set to 40G, memory_target is set to 40G, sga_target is set to 0 and pga_aggregate_target is set to 0 and sga_max_size is set to 30GB.  What effect does the sga_max_size have in this scenario?  Is sga auto-tuned and if so, to which value?
