Change in the Useful life of an added asset

Have added a new Fixed Asset and depreciation has been run for a period. Now the user identifies that the useful life of the asset and the date of addition is not correct. Useful life should be four years rather than ten years. And also the date of addition is to be changed.

which could be the best solution to achieve it.
