MRP& BATCH BOM

Hi Team

I came across the following in

  • MRP does not read components defined in a Batch BOM and check the Effective From/Thru Date range to consider the BOM as valid or expired.
  • Since the Batch BOM does not “carry” an Effective From/Thru range, MRP considers it “valid” if a Batch BOM has all its components expired (not effective).

I have scenario where in finished product has an expired batch bom and effective zero batch bom. MRP considers this expired batch BOM and suggests planned messages for finished product but doesn't suggest messages for its components. Why ? Also could you please clarify on "Batch BOM does not “carry” an Effective From/Thru range"
