PeopleSoft Page and Field Configurator

Hi,

We are trying to make use of the recent new delivered functionality to modify certain fields by using Page and Field Configurator. As an example, I'm making PROJECT_TYPE a required field for grants project. While this works well when I'm creating a new project (let's say I need  an additional project to associate it to an existing grant/contract).it does not when a generate a a brand new grant via proposal. In this case, in the Project page, PROJECT_TYPE is not required field (it doesn't have any asterisk) and we can make any other change and save and system does not
