BI Publisher is unavailable from EMCC 13c

Hi all,

we have installed Enterprise Manager 13c R2 from scratch and we have enabled the BIP.

The sites are secured with certificates.

All works fine except the connection from EMCC to BIP (via menu Enterprise / Reports / BI Publisher Enterprise-Reports).

The call goes to https://ourserver:9704/xmlpserver and ends up in "Backend BI Publisher application seems to be down".

Calling BIP with https://ourserver:9702/xmlpserver (the normal https port) works fine.

We have reconfigured the BIP as described in Doc ID 2306746.1 without changing the result.

netstat shows only one java process listening on port 9702.

Whats wrong? What can we do?
