user is not getting option to approve or reject for switch user approval

Hello,

manager grant workflow approval option to her assistant for approval of workflow request.

assistant is creating planned purchase order, after that it is going for manager approval.

then assistant is switch workflow (by switch button on home) page to view notification pending for manager approval, he is able to switch and view all notification which is pending for manager approval, but on the same page he is not getting any option for approve/ reject or request information please advise.
