JDE Cloud / Oracle ERP Cloud integration

Hi,

We need to make an integration between a JDE 9.2 Cloud with Oracle ERP Cloud in both directions. I would like to know if we need to use Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and the Adapters or we can just make calls between SOAP web services of both softwares. For example use a JDE Business Services to expose and consume ERP Cloud's SOAP web services.
