A few weeks ago I saw in another thread where someone who I consider to be a knowledgable authority said that CC was the most complex piece of software Oracle ever released.

I believe it.

I’ve been struggling for some time now to configure my first CC installation, and am starting to wonder if I really need it.  I started down this path as a result of reading that with 11.2 to 12.1, dbcontrol was going away to be replaced by EM Express, and that that EM Express was ‘cut down’ and did not provide all of the functions of dbcontrol.  Now that I’ve got all but one of my applications upgraded to 12.1.0.2 SE2 and have gotten a chance to play around with EM Express, as well as the DBA functions of SQL Dev,
