How SLM being used to do transaction b/w Supplier & Company ?

Hello Gurus,

I am new to Oracle SLM module.

We came across SLM module is actually having records based licensing, initially we though records based means records of suppliers in DB.

Later we comes to know its a transaction b/w supplier and your company but here I want to know what kind of transaction he was mentioning.

What I understand SLM module is being used to measure performance of suppliers based on material and services rendered ??

Please assist.
