Certified with "Oracle Database Appliance" vs. "Oracle Database Enterprise Edition"

Hi all,

When a software product is certified with a traditional "Oracle Database Enterprise Edition", is it also certified for "Oracle Database Appliance"?

In other word, Can an enterprise business entity use an "Oracle Database Appliance" instead of the traditional "Oracle Database Enterprise Edition"? As when customer says "We want to move the database from tradition on-prem to an ODA".

The marketing says OK, "The Oracle Database Appliance saves time and money by simplifying deployment, maintenance, and support of database solutions for organizations of every size." Should anyone be concerned?

Beside the "AlwaysOn" or "High Availability" concept, do the "Oracle Database Enterprise Edition" and ODA have the same features and similar capacity?

Howdy, Stranger!
