Can I manually delete an Oracle listener?

I need to move a database from one machine to another. I found a set of steps to do this online and tried to follow them but had problems with the step that called for the creation of a second listener on the destination server. My situation was a bit different than the one in the example. I tried to figure out what changes I needed to make to the example to make it work for me, but I got something(s) wrong with the listener part and abandoned this method. I am left with subdirectories of /u01/app/oracle/diag/tnslsnr/<server name>/listener and ..../listener2.
