P0912/R09302 - Recurring JE's GL Date Question

JDEdwards Release 9.2.0

We have monthly fixed amount JE's that users are currently entering manually each month. The users enter and post these on or around the 16th of each month.

In PY we set up a few recurring JE's with recur frequency set to 'MO' - Monthly with a GL Date = 3/16/18. Ran R09302 in Final mode and the JE's were created in F0911 with GL Date 3/16/18.

Our issue is that for April, the GL Date  = 4/30/18 and May will = 5/31/18

Why was it designed this way? What is the purpose of creating the recurring JE with a GL Date just for it change each month to the last day?
