Ad Hoc approvers

Hi,

For Peoplesoft 9.1 and above, does anyone know what drives the User IDs that are available to select when adding an ad-hoc approver? Is there a recommended default?

We are finding that inactive approvers are showing up, and users are selecting them into workflow.

I believe its the "Approval User Info List" field in the ad hoc approver options section of the config page (shown below), but wanted to verify. There is also a "Ad hoc user list" field that we have empty.
