JDE E1 9.2 Integration with AS/400 RPG based system

Hi All

We have a client who is implementing JDE 9.2. Since we are implementing in phases we will need to build integrations between their existing legacy systems and JDE E1 9.2. Some of these integrations like inventory etc would need to be real time. What is the best framework for building these integrations. The legacy software runs on IBM AS400 and it is not JDE.
