datapump dump always causing hassle

Whenever a customer sends us a database dump and he sends it as a datapump dump I'm running into trouble.

first off, if the user already exists, there is a conflict, but even with no users created on the target side, there are so many customer specific

detail which seem to be impossible to fulfill, eg. names of tablespaces etc.

Unless there isn't a switch which elliminates all these conflicts I tend to tell our customer to send EXP dumps in the future.

DPDUMP may be useful as long as you stay in your own environment, but for exchange between different sites I think there would be too much fine adjustment to cover all
