Renaming ORACLE_HOME_NAME ?

Hi

I was wondering, is it possible to rename ORACLE_HOME_NAME that is specified within oraInventory..?

Ofcourse I can change this with text redactor, but is it safe..?

And there is also a possibility by cloning new ORACLE_HOME and switching to this OH, which is safe.

But perhaps there ise simpler methods achieving that, for example through OUI..?
