Free Goods

We are using a free goods functionality in sales order. when we create a sales order for the main item, free goods need to be added. In this scenario, we do not have inventory for main item and we do have inventory for the free goods.

When we create a sales order, lines with free goods move forward till sales update and line with main item is in back order as there is no inventory for main item. In this case, customer will get the free goods first before they get the main item, as the main item is backordered. Could you please confirm if this is working as expected?
