Is there a way to limit character size on lists in Agile PLM?

Hello,

Is there a way to limit character size on a certain list in Agile PLM? Our Agile system connects to our ERP system and the ERP system has a character limitation on a field. Our ERP systems limitation is only 10 characters Agile has this field as a list value and there appears to be no character size limit to set. We want to keep it as a list value since we don't want any spelling mistakes and to provide only certain selections. I know text field types there's a character limit to be set but I really need to
