SYS accont has LOCKED(TIMED)

Dear Experts,

After some unsuccessful attempts to login as a sys user I identified that account was locked(timed).

sys account is assigned to the profile with a UNLIMITED FAILED_LOGIN_ATTEMPTS settings.

So, what could cause sys to be locked?

DB version Oracle 12c.
