ovm disk clone

I am trying to clone an ovm manager control sparc vm disk.  The source disk is physical and the clone target is physical.

I have stopped the vm for the clone as it is the boot disk.

I get the following error.

RuntimeError: Command: (/usr/lib/ovm/diskio -i /dev/rdsk/c0t60000970000196701636533030383530d0s2 -o /dev/rdsk/c0t600014400000001020517FC5D2AB77EBd0s2 -b 1048576) failed (1): USCSICMD ioctl failed: I/O error

Read failed (offset=73104621568, size=1048576): I/O error.

no disk issues in the messages file.  I can also reboot the server just fine with no issues,

Is this supported?
