Disabling https for Siebel IP17 web client

Hi,

I need to disable the https for web client of Siebel IP 2017. I followed the steps given in Security Guide "Disabling Certificate Based Mutual Authentication" section. However after I restart all components as instructed in this section and try to login to SMC it cannot find my configuration and asks me to configure from beginning.  Hence all profile configurations are lost web client login doesn't work with error "Component is not registered for this profile".

How to disable https for web client?
