Update java version for Client 12.1
I have Oracle client 12.1 on a Linux platform that is running an old version of Java 6 that I would like to update. We have more up-to-date versions of Java installed on the system already, but the version for the DB client is old. Within the next month or so we will be upgrading our server to 12.2 so we *might* be upgrading the client at the same time (no plan for it yet), but until then I would like to keep going with the current client.
Is there a simple way to tell the client to use one of the other versions of Java that is already on the system? Or would this best be done with a patch to the client? If so, which patch would be appropriate?
