Changing GL Date from Sys Date to Inv Date at Payable Option - Oracle Recommended practice

Hi Gurus

I really appreciate, if somebody can advice whats the best practice to change GL date from Sys Date to Invoice Date. If there is a requirement to change the GL date at payable option, Is this practice is against Oracle Standard Process.

Does this amendment at payable option is not a standard practice?
