Qualifying Event and Enrollment Date
I am testing benefits for a client who has not worked for nearly three years. Now that all the SARs are in and I am testing everything appears to be working, but I have one question.
Here is the scenario Employee has qualifying event due Marriage the event took place on 4/3/18. Here is a snapshot of the before
Using enrollment with eligibility I moved out of MED3 EE to MED5 ESP- stopped and started correctly as did, Dental, Vision, Voluntary Life EE moving from 50K to100K.
My question is why would FSAMED and Spouse Voluntary Life start with the date of hire (Initial Eligibility and not the Qualifying Event Date of 04/03/18 is it because it is a new enrollment and isn't that misleading, especially if you have a feed to the vendor.
