Oracle Database Appliance (ODA) X6-2M: no ASMCA GUI after update to server version 12.2.1.2.0

Dear community,

after upgrading to ODA server version, from 12.1.2.12, to 12.2.1.2.0, the ASMCA GUI is incomplete

Regardless if it's starting from

cd /u01/app/12.1.0.2/oracle/bin/

or

cd /u01/app/12.2.0.1/oracle/bin/

As shown in the PDF, no ASM volumes and neither ASM cluster file systems are being shown in the list.
