GUI on Linux server is slow

Hi,

I wanted to install Oracle binaries on my Linux server using OUI. For GUI, I installed Xming on my local machine and tried X11 Forwarding from putty. But its very very slow(taking around 1 day for 1 installation). Can you please suggest reasons for slowness or suggest something better to start GUI?
