Not able query/retire the Item Instance from the Deployment Screen

A normal Item: Micro Blaster is created, Received in to inventory and Issue to field. The Item is interfaced and created as a Fixed Asset. Please find the attached screen shots for reference.

Upon receiving the Item in to Inventory from field, the Item instance status is updated as 'Out of Service'. When we try to Retire the Asset from the Deployment screen in OAT we are not able to query the Item instance from this screen.

What could be the reason here.
