Setting up 13 Periods for Retail Businesses

Hi,

     JD Edwards has been used in our group of companies which are primarily manufacturing organisations. They stick to 12 months calendar. However, JD Edwards was implemented to one of our fast food retail chain to manage their core financial and procurement activities.

     They need to have a spare month in addition to the regular 12 months to post their audit adjustments. We tried to setup a 13th month but then realised that you need at least a single day that should be attached to the 13th period which should not belong to any other period. Since this company is in retail business, it operates trough out the year where all types of transactions such as sales,  collections, inventory, etc. take place on daily basis that are posted to JD Edwards carrying the respective dates.
