Mode of Transport in Transportation Module

Module: Transportation

Type of Question: Expert opinion and understanding if there are any unforeseen drawbacks on using custom Mode of Transport.

Background: JDE Transportation module comes with some standard MOT i.e. Road, Rail, Air, Sea, etc. While using work with routing options, JDE shows many routing options but one routing option for each unique combination of MOT and carrier. System don't show many routing options for combination of MOT and carrier.

Business Scenario: There is only one MOT i.e. by road. Only one carrier. Two types of trucks. Rates are based on type of truck used.
