Oracle on VM

We are planning below strategy.

Customer are aware of the risk for the limited Oracle support on VMware, but they think, it’s really minor, since we are covered by the VMware extended support for Oracle

Depending on the license approach, which would be chosen from Customer, there are 2 options:

1. Single VMware cluster, all CPUs are licensed, Oracle is hosted on VMs, vSAN storage used

2. 2x VMware clusters, each managed by a different vCenter server.

a. VMware cluster, hosting the Oracle DBs only: 3 or 4 VxRAIL nodes, CPU type will be replaced and we will propose 2x 4-core CPU, so that we can reduce the Oracle license need to the minimum

Howdy, Stranger!
