ORA-12547: TNS:lost contact

Hello Folks,

We have installed the oracle database for backing up database from production to new installed database. But i am not able to login in to sqlplus via putty, getting below error.

This database installed sometime back. till the day before yesterday we are able to login into the sqlplus via putty but not from oracle user. Below are the process when i was able to login into the sqlplus

1. Logged into putty by oracle user

2. Then i have to do su - command and enter password for root user

3. then go to the sqlplus and logging into sqlplus
