XML file as data set is not accepting input parameter in BI publisher 11g

Hi,

I have a working report in Oracle Bi publisher 10g. Under Data model, type is selected as 'data template' which is basically a .xml file. For this report i don't have a layout attached,but have two input parameters for which output should be generated as xml tags. my output is selected as 'Data' which is the xml tags generated for my input parameters.

Now, the problem is, we wish to upgrade to 11g BI publisher. 11g is not having an option 'data template' but have an option 'xml file' for new data set. I have selected output format as 'data(xml). Even though i create parameters, this xml file is not accepting my input parameters, and just giving me the xml file i attached.
