Oracle 12.1.0.2 (both GI and DB): Opatch 12.2.0.1.0 or Opatch 18.0.0.0.0?

Hi, I have Oracle 12.1.0.2 (both GI and DB). What is the proper version of Opatch I must use to apply the patches? Last version of Opatch 12.2.0.1.0 or Opatch 18.0.0.0.0? Does Opatch 18.0.0.0.0 works with my 12.1.0.2 homes?

Opatch 18.0.0.0.0 readme states: "OPatch 12.2.0.1.13 can only be used for OUI based Oracle Homes. The OUI version must be 12.*. OPatch has been updated to work with both OUI 12.1 and 12.2 homes." This same messages appears in Opatch 12.2.0.1.0...

So, my guess is that Opatch 18.0.0.0.0 does not support Oracle Homes versión 12.1.0.2.

Does any one know for good?
