Why we cannot use NextRecord, PrevRecord, and QueryBiDirectional to traverse records of the primary

Hi,

In a workflow process why we cannot use NextRecord, PrevRecord, and QueryBiDirectional to traverse records of the primary business component? Why are these operations allowed only on child BC?
