Custom Receipt Letter as Attachment on Receipt workbench

Hi Folks,

We have a custom program which generates Receipt Letter in the PDF format using BI Publisher. The Program has Customer Name\Number and Receipt Number as parameters.

Once the Receipt Letter is generated, it is supposed to be sent to the customers.

Now, we have a requirement that the PDF generated by the Custom Program shall be attached as an Attachment on the Receipt Workbench (View->Attachments)

Can you please provide some useful notes\community links which can be useful in achieving this requirement?
