Deleting a closed vacancy

We are trying to delete a duplicate vacancy that was created.  I found note 371853.1 and there is no applications attached to the vacancy.  I navigated the note to point 5 and everything to the Yes button - Save works fine but when you go back into iRec to the vacancy screen the vacancy is still displayed there.  How can we get rid of the vacancy to not display any more?

On pressing the save button you get there is no changes to save.

The vacancy still remains under vacancy
