OEM Grid Named and Preferred Credentials

Hello,

I am trying to create named and preferred credentials in OEM 13c for a new Oracle 12c database in AIX.  I am getting the error "select a target that has already been promoted to a managed target status in EM.  Named Credentials cannot be tested against an unmanaged target.".  I had to manually deploy the OEM agent onto this server due to the OEM console server at java version 1.5 and the OEM target server at java version 1.6.  I have not found the correct documentation to promote my target to be managed.  The screen shots and documentation do not
