Change in Currency Restatement method

Hello All, Currently Business is using Detail Currency restatement method.  In future business want to use Balance Currency Restatement. I would like to know. . . 1. What would be the impact of such change Technical/Functional 2. Would there be any data integrity issue And is there any guidelines available to handle such situation. . Thanks in advance JayK
