Does Balance sheet display current period balance of Proft and Loss account

Hi,

Let me tell you the brief .

One of My customer wants to generate the balance sheet and profit and loss statement as on dec-17,We have implemented a fiscal calendar (Apr-Mar)with one adjusting period .

But Now in the balance sheet which was shared by the client as it is showing current period balance of Profit & Loss account .(Net difference of P&L Statement)

By Using FSG p & L statement has been generated as on dec-17 and now i want to transfer the net balance of p & l account to the balance sheet.

Could any one suggest on this.
