Creation of New Order Type & Next Numbering in Work Order

Hi,

I am having a query related to Next Numbering for Work Order. Can any help me to understand how the Auto Next Number can be associate to the Manufacturing Work Orders.What is the setup required?

Also I would like to know, how to create a New Order Type for Work orders (Other than WO) & what other setups/procedure required to make it functional on transactions.
