Why is Non Periodic payment is not calculating tax?
Employee was terminated as of February 1, 2018.
Processing a Payment in Lieu of Notice for the employee to be paid on May 18, 2018. This is to be taxed using Non Periodic tax method.
CPP and EI are deducted appropriately
No Canadian tax is being deducted from this pay period.
I am running a Quick Pay with the Date paid as of May 18, 2018 and the date earned as of Feb 3, 2018 (PPE of that the termination date falls in and the last pay the employee received regular pay).
Any ideas how to fix this?
