Use of UDC 09/PC - Posted Code General Ledger

We are currently upgrading from 9.0 to 9.2.  I have noticed a new UDC 09/PC (Posted Code General Ledger) under General Accounting.  Would anyone be able to tell me where this UDC is used?  I can't seem to find documentation on this UDC.
