Siebel attachments Last modified date is changing to current system date after downloading

Siebel attachments Last modified date is changing to current system date after downloading to local computer. Can you please tell us how can I retain the original last modified date as in the system after downloading.

Example : I have a file uploaded in the Siebel production system with Last modified date as '10-Jan-2014', but when I download to local computer drive, the files shows the file last modified date as today. But business wants to original Last modified date as '10-Jan-2014' in the downloaded file as well.

Please let me your ideas
